The Ford F-150 Lightning is an electric pickup truck introduced for the 2022 model year. It offers a spacious cabin, a friendly design, and surprising performance.

The 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning is a four-door, five-adult crew cab with 124 cubic feet of passenger volume. Higher trims add a rear-center armrest with integrated cup holders. There’s also a secure storage box beneath the rear seats with cargo dividers.
All trims also feature a flow-through center console with a stowable gear shifter. Thus, you can create a flat work surface in the center console, handy for working on a laptop or taking notes.

The 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning has all-wheel drive and twin electric motors for all trims. Two battery packs are available, which determine the motors’ total horsepower output.
The Standard Range battery pack is a 98-kilowatt-hour unit. Ford estimates a driving range of 230 miles per charge. Here, the two motors combine to make 452 horsepower.
On the other hand, the Extended Range battery pack offers 131 kilowatt-hours. Ford’s claimed range for this pack is 320 miles. Here, the two motors can develop up to 580 horsepower. It can do zero to 60 mph in four seconds with this battery pack.
The 2024 F-150 Lightning can tow 10,000 pounds with the Extended Range battery pack. However, choosing the standard battery pack reduces this to 7,700 pounds. Payload capacities are 2,000 pounds and 1,800 pounds, respectively.
The 2024 F-150 Lightning can be charged via AC home or DC fast charging. Furthermore, every 2024 F-150 Lightning can be used as a backup generator for domestic purposes. Ford says that a fully charged truck can power an average home for up to three days in this manner.
