The 2024 Ford Ranger comes in a two-row, four-door form known as the SuperCrew cab. The cabin can accommodate up to five adults. The XL and XLT trims come with premium cloth seats. On the other hand, selecting the Lariat trim brings leather-trimmed seats with power adjustment for the driver and front passenger seats. A locking glove box is standard, as are map lights and USB-A and USB-C charging ports. The rear seat also features a center armrest on all trims.
The rear seats can be folded flat across the range and have under-seat storage for added space. There's also a flow-through center console plus an overhead console. Moreover, an in-vehicle safe is an option for all trims.
The XL trim comes with black vinyl floor coverings, while the XLT and Lariat get color-coordinated carpeted floor mats. Buyers can also choose tray-style floor liners with or without carpet mats as an option on all trims.
The XL and XLT trims have a manual air conditioning system. The Lariat gets dual-zone automatic climate control as standard, which is optional for the XLT.
Every 2024 Ford Ranger comes with Ford’s Sync4 infotainment software suite. This iteration introduces seamless over-the-air updating capabilities, which enables Ford to push new features as soon as they are available.
The 2024 Ford Ranger has received a complete exterior makeover, bringing it in line with Ford’s larger trucks, such as the F-150. The twin-dome hood, refreshed grille, and new headlamp design contribute towards creating an imposing face. All trims come with LED reflector headlamps and daytime running lights. The XL gets halogen fog lamps, while XLT and Lariat receive LED units.
The XLT trim also adds LED cargo bed lighting, while the Lariat trim has a nifty Zone Lighting feature. This consists of additional LED lights on the sides of the vehicle, lighting up the ground around your 2024 Ranger to aid night-time visibility. The 2024 Ranger line-up also comes with stylish 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels.
Ford offers a range of up to eight colors for the 2024 Ranger. Some colors are trim-specific. Buyers can also choose an optional paint protection film.
Ford offers two engine choices for the 2024 Ranger line-up. Standard on all trims is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine can be found in other Ford products, such as the Mustang. In the 2024 Ranger, it makes 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
A more powerful 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 is available on the XLT and Lariat trims. This engine produces 315 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
All 2024 Ranger models come with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Buyers can pick between rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive. Choosing a four-wheel drive also brings electronic shift-on-the-fly capabilities. This allows drivers to change between two-wheel and four-wheel drive modes seamlessly without coming to a complete stop. An electronically-locking rear differential is an available option.
The XLT and Lariat trims can be specified with an optional Terrain Management System. The system offers five modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, Tow/Haul, and Slippery. The Ranger also has new rear outboard-mounted shock absorbers and independent front suspension that enable a smoother and more stable ride.
The 2024 Ranger can tow up to 7,500 pounds with the Trailer Tow Package. The XLT and Lariat trims can also be optioned with Trailer Brake Controller and Pro Trailer Backup Assist systems.
